“Cultivando a história” [Cultivating History] is a series of photographs created at the Graça family farm in São Luis, Portugal. Anna’s photographs explore an archetypal understanding of self in tamed and wild landscapes. This series of photographs explores the re-creation of an unknown history. Carving out identities with light and shadow, she invites viewers out of reality and into a fable-like arc of their choosing.
